How much Odoo costs in Mexico: real prices in MXN 2026

How much Odoo costs in Mexico: real prices in MXN 2026

IN SHORT — At iTechDev, implementing Odoo in Mexico costs MXN $29,900 (kickoff without invoicing, 2-3 weeks), $89,000 (with CFDI 4.0 stamping, 4-6 weeks) or $139,000 (with POS and e-commerce, 6-8 weeks), plus VAT and plus the Odoo license you pay directly to Odoo. Those are our prices, published, with the list of what they do not include: published Odoo prices and packages. The rest of this article explains the Mexican market ranges —from ~$80,000 to over $2,000,000 MXN depending on scope— because you will run into them quoting with others and you need to know how to read them: what moves those numbers is scope and how clean your data is, not the number of users. If your operation fits a package, pay the package; if it does not, no range will help you and you need a discovery.

"How much does Odoo cost?" is the question almost no one answers with numbers. It's understandable: scope varies enormously. But "it depends" with no figures doesn't help you budget. So here we break down the three cost components — software, implementation, and recurring — with peso ranges you can use to build your business case.

Our package pricing: we publish the price and timeline of every package on Odoo pricing in Mexico — Starter $29,900, Empresa MX $89,000 and Comercio MX $139,000, with what each includes and what it does not.

The three costs you must separate

When someone gives you an "Odoo" number, ask which of these three they mean, because they're different:

  1. Software (license) — Community is free; Enterprise is paid per user/month.
  2. Implementation — configure, customize, migrate, and train. The bulk of the project.
  3. Recurring — PAC stamps, hosting, support/maintenance, and the Enterprise license if it applies.

Mixing them is the #1 cause of invoice surprises.

Software cost: Community vs Enterprise

Edition License cost MX localization When it fits
Community $0 (open source, no per-user cost) Via OCA + your partner Clear operation, tight budget, someone to maintain it
Enterprise Per user/month (approx. USD $25–40/user/month) Official from Odoo Critical compliance, you want a localization guarantee

The figure that changes the whole equation: Community eliminates the per-user license. Adding 5 or 50 employees doesn't change the software cost. In Enterprise, each user adds to the monthly bill. Always verify Enterprise's current price on Odoo's official site or with your partner, because Odoo adjusts it by version and plan.

Note: "free" in Community is the license, not the project. You save the license but take on maintaining the localization against SAT changes — best covered with a partner.

Implementation cost: the real ranges in MXN

These ranges reflect implementation projects (they don't include the Enterprise license, which is added separately):

These ranges are NOT our price. They are what the market charges by scope, so you can compare. Our price is the three packages above.

Scope What it includes Market range in Mexico (MXN)
Basic Core (sales, purchasing, inventory, accounting) + CFDI localization + training $80,000 – $250,000
Standard The above + CRM/POS, workflow customization, data migration, payment complement (PPD/REP), basic integrations $250,000 – $700,000
Advanced The above + MRP/manufacturing, multi-company, Carta Porte, custom Python/OWL modules, complex integrations $700,000 – $2,000,000+

Anything outside these molds is, honestly, subject to discovery: until we review your processes, data, and integrations, any number is a guess. A serious quote starts from an assessment, not from a menu price list.

Why the number doesn't depend on "how many users"

Three things move the cost, and none of them is head-count:

Recurring costs you must budget

The project doesn't end at go-live. Budget for:

Item Reference range Note
PAC stamps ~$0.50 – $3 MXN per stamp By package; drops with volume
Enterprise license (if applicable) ~USD $25–40/user/month Enterprise edition only
Hosting Variable Odoo Online, Odoo.sh, or your own server
Support / maintenance (AMS) Monthly per SLA Keeps the localization current with SAT

A grounded example

A 15-user distributor, reasonably clean catalog, wanting sales, purchasing, inventory, accounting, and CFDI 4.0 with payment complement:

The same company, but with manufacturing (MRP), multi-warehouse, and a custom commissions module, moves to the advanced scope and easily crosses half a million. Same "number of users," very different price — that's why discovery matters.

How to lower the cost (without lowering quality)

Transparency as a method (how we work)

At iTechDev we quote with a fixed-price budget and a breakdown of the three components, so you know exactly what's software, what's implementation, and what's recurring. We're a software factory and Odoo Ready partner, with REPSE, more than 200 projects delivered, 5.0★ on Clutch, and bilingual nearshore operation Monterrey, Guadalajara + Texas. When something needs development, we build it as our own module and the code stays 100% yours. And we run our own company on Odoo 19, so this guide's ranges come from operating the system, not from a rate card.

Frequently asked questions

How much does Odoo cost in Mexico in 2026?

At iTechDev there are three published prices, plus VAT: MXN $29,900 for Arranque (2-3 weeks, does NOT stamp CFDI), $89,000 for Empresa MX (4-6 weeks, stamps CFDI 4.0 with your PAC) and $139,000 for Comercio MX (6-8 weeks, with POS and e-commerce). If your reason to buy is invoicing, your entry point is Empresa MX. Separately, because they fit in no package: stamped payroll from $45,000 and Carta Porte 3.1 from $25,000. Across the Mexican MARKET in general you will find ranges from ~$80,000 to over $2,000,000 MXN depending on scope: those are NOT our prices, we explain them so you can read the quotes you receive. The Odoo license is paid to Odoo, not to the implementer.

Is Odoo Community really free?

The Community license is: it's open source and charges nothing per user. What isn't free is the project (implementation, migration, training) or maintaining the Mexican localization against SAT changes, which is best covered with a partner.

How much does the Odoo Enterprise license cost per user?

It's charged per user/month, approximately USD $25–40 depending on version and plan. Always verify the current price because Odoo adjusts it. In Community, that per-user cost simply doesn't exist.

Why do you give such wide ranges instead of a fixed price?

Because the same "20-user system" costs very differently depending on process complexity, data quality, and integrations. A serious fixed price is set after a discovery that reviews those three things; before that, any exact number is marketing.

What costs more, the license or the implementation?

Almost always the implementation. In Community the license is zero, so the bulk of the project is configuration, migration, and training. Even in Enterprise, implementation usually weighs more than the license at the start.
