Unified payment gateways and store systems on Azure
We integrated multiple payment gateways, a TMS, an OMS and the store legacy systems of one of Mexico’s largest retailers into a single reliable operation on Azure.
Soriana is one of Mexico’s largest retailers, running a store and commerce operation that handles critical load every day. Its ecosystem combined legacy store systems with a TMS, an OMS and several payment gateways that needed to work together without friction.
The challenge
Each payment gateway (Worldpay, Cybersource, PayPal, Mercado Libre, Kueski) had its own technical contract and lived alongside legacy store systems, a transport TMS and an order OMS. The challenge was to integrate all of those pieces into a single, reliable flow —able to handle critical retail load— without rewriting the existing operation from scratch.
What we built
Payment gateway integration
We connected Worldpay, Cybersource, PayPal, Mercado Libre and Kueski behind a common integration layer, so the operation works with a single payment flow instead of five separate technical contracts.
TMS integration
We linked the transport management system (TMS) with the order and payment operation, keeping the movement of goods in sync with the rest of the flow.
OMS integration
We connected the order management system (OMS) with store and payments, giving end-to-end order traceability across the operation.
Legacy store systems
We integrated the legacy store systems into the new flow without replacing them all at once, preserving what already worked and wiring it to the modern pieces.
All on Azure
We deployed and operated the integration on Azure, with .NET services and APIs as the communication layer between gateways, TMS, OMS and the store systems.
