What is a Meta Tech Provider and how is it different from a BSP?

A Tech Provider is a technology company with its own application reviewed and approved by Meta to operate the WhatsApp Business API on behalf of other companies. iTechDev holds that credential (App ID 1314183797497373, whatsapp_business_messaging and whatsapp_business_management permissions, approved on July 7, 2026). A BSP (Business Solution Provider), like Twilio or 360dialog, additionally resells API access at scale and bills the messaging. With us, the WABA is yours and per-message rates are paid directly to Meta, markup-free; we charge for implementation and development.

What is the difference between the free WhatsApp Business app and the official API?

The app is for operating from a phone: one number, up to 4 devices and basic tools. The official API (WhatsApp Business Platform / Cloud API) is for companies: unlimited agents, chatbots, bulk sends with approved templates, metrics and integration with your ERP or CRM. If your team fights over the phone or you need a bot and integrations, you already need the API.

How much does WhatsApp Business API cost in Mexico?

There are two components. (1) What Meta charges per delivered template message — as of July 2026, a marketing message in Mexico costs approximately $0.0436 USD; utility and authentication messages cost less, and replying within the 24-hour window is free until October 1, 2026 (when Meta starts charging service messages). You can estimate your monthly cost in our calculator. (2) The cost of implementing and integrating it: that depends on your case (simple onboarding, migration or custom development) and we quote it within 24 hours after a free assessment. We invoice with CFDI in MXN.

Can I migrate to the API without losing my number or my chats?

Yes. The number is migrated to the official API keeping it as-is, and with Meta's Coexistence feature you can keep the WhatsApp Business app active on the phone while the platform runs in parallel — useful during the transition so your team keeps continuity. We plan the migration in phases so customer service never stops.

I use an unofficial solution (a bot over WhatsApp Web). What is my risk?

Unofficial solutions — bots and APIs built over WhatsApp Web or modified apps — violate WhatsApp's terms of service. Meta detects them and bans numbers without notice; if your sales or support operation lives on that number, the cost of a ban far exceeds the cost of migrating in time. Migrating to the official API removes that risk at the root.

How long does implementation take?

An API connection with business verification, templates and webhooks is usually resolved in days, not months (it mostly depends on Meta's verification times). A migration with Coexistence and phased adoption typically takes 2-4 weeks. A custom conversational build with ERP/CRM integration is quoted by scope after the assessment, with demos every 2 weeks.

Does it integrate with my ERP or CRM (Odoo, Dynamics 365, Salesforce)?

Yes — that is precisely our difference versus inbox SaaS vendors: we are a software factory and we work within the Odoo (Ready Partner), Microsoft and Salesforce ecosystems. What is the Meta Business Agent and how much does it cost?

It is Meta's native AI agent for WhatsApp, available globally since June 2026: it answers questions, recommends, books and qualifies leads inside the chat. Meta charges it by AI usage —roughly 4 to 5 US cents per agent message (token-based rate effective August 2026), on top of the per-template fees—. Its real value shows when connected to your operation: as a Tech Provider we deploy it, integrate it with your ERP/CRM (Odoo, Dynamics, Salesforce), define its rules and govern it. Meta provides the engine; we provide the engineering.

Do you invoice in Mexico? And who pays Meta's rates?

Our implementation, development and support services are invoiced with CFDI 4.0 in MXN (we can also contract in USD via our Texas entity). Per-message rates are paid directly to Meta with your own payment method on your WABA — we are not messaging intermediaries and we add no per-message markup.
