Are service messages still free?
Today, yes: replying to a customer within the 24-hour window is free. But from October 1, 2026, Meta starts charging those service messages at the same rate as utility/authentication.
How much does the Meta Business Agent (AI) cost?
Since August 1, 2026, Meta's AI agent is charged per token: roughly $2 USD per million tokens, which works out to 4 to 5 US cents per message it handles. It is a separate cost from the per-template fees.
Do I pay iTechDev for the messages?
No. Per-message rates are paid directly to Meta from your own account. iTechDev, as a Meta Tech Provider, charges for implementation, the chatbot and integration — not the messages. That's why there's no markup.
