What to check when choosing an Odoo partner in Mexico City
The Mexican tax side is the real risk
Odoo ships Mexican localization, but CFDI 4.0, the Carta Porte complement and DIOT do not switch on with a button: they depend on the PAC, the CSD and on your catalogue carrying SAT codes. We have that solved in production with clients, not in a demo.
Remote, and said plainly
We have no office in Mexico City and we do not disguise it: the implementing team is iTechDev’s own, working from Monterrey and Guadalajara. An Odoo implementation moves through configuration and testing sessions with your people, and that works at a distance. If having the vendor in the same city is your criterion, there are partners in CDMX that meet it.
We earn $0 on your licence
You pay Odoo directly, with no markup from us. That aligns the incentive the opposite way to the rest of the market: since we do not earn from the licence, our job is to size it down, not up.
Partner tier does not measure quality
Odoo programme tiers —Ready, Silver, Gold, Platinum— are earned through licence volume, not implementation quality. We are Ready, the entry tier, and we publish it: the argument is the work, not the badge.
What the free Odoo assessment includes
A deliverable that serves you even if you implement with someone else.
The decisions we make before configuring anything
Community or Enterprise
Decided with your operation in front of us, not by default. Some operations are fully covered by Community, and that decision moves the entire budget.
Who stamps and with which PAC
Electronic invoicing is a separate piece from Odoo. It is chosen up front and tested with real stampings, not the week of go-live.
What gets migrated and what does not
Catalogues and balances at cut-off almost always; full history almost never pays for itself. The cut-off date is defined before a single record moves.
Who operates day to day
Warehouse, invoicing or management. It changes how error-proof the screen must be, because whoever uses it is rarely the accountant.

Frequently asked questions
Who implements Odoo in Mexico City?
There are official Odoo partners with offices in Mexico City, plus independent consultants and firms that implement it without being in the programme. iTechDev is a Ready-tier partner with no office in CDMX: it serves companies in the city remotely from Monterrey and Guadalajara, and has a sister entity in Laredo, Texas. The official Odoo directory lists partners by country and tier: a good starting point, remembering it ranks by licence volume sold, not implementation quality.
How much does implementing Odoo cost for a Mexico City company?
We publish pricing per module, with its hours, and bundled packages: Arranque MXN $26,650, Empresa MX $43,550 with CFDI 4.0 and Comercio MX $63,050 + VAT. The difference between them is not a discount, it is what each one includes, and what moves the number most is whether you need stamped electronic invoicing, because that pulls in the full localization. The Odoo licence is paid separately and directly to Odoo: we earn nothing from it.
Can Odoo be implemented remotely without an office in Mexico City?
Yes, and it is how we work with Mexico City companies. An Odoo implementation moves through configuration sessions, testing with your users and a planned invoicing cut-over; none of that requires the vendor to be in your city. What it does require is someone on your side with time assigned to validate. Odoo covers retail, services and discrete manufacturing well, with inventory, purchasing and the tax side in one system.
Can I migrate from CONTPAQi or Aspel without stopping invoicing?
Yes, and it is one of the cases we handle most. The key is the cut-off: you set the date you stop stamping in one system and start in the other, with the PAC already tested in Odoo before that day. What genuinely gets migrated are customer, supplier and product catalogues plus balances at cut-off; full history is evaluated separately because it almost always costs more than it contributes.
What about Carta Porte if I move goods?
Odoo generates the transfer CFDI with the Carta Porte complement through an optional module of the Mexican localization. What determines the work is your scenario: if your transfers use federal highway you must capture vehicles with their configuration and insurance, and drivers with RFC and licence; if they do not exceed the federal stretch, it is solved with standard invoicing requirements. The real bottleneck is usually putting SAT catalogue codes on your products.
