How long does a turnkey project take?
It depends on the scope, which we define with you in discovery before committing. In every case we deliver functionality every 2 weeks with live demos, so you see real progress from week 2 — you don't wait months to see the first result.
Do we own the code?
Yes, 100%. All code, documentation, access, repos and environments are yours from the first commit. We include a standard NDA and an IP ownership clause, with USMCA compliance. No vendor lock-in: if tomorrow you want to take the project to another team, you have everything you need.
How is this different from a dedicated team or staff augmentation?
In who owns the outcome. With staff augmentation or a dedicated team you lead, prioritize and manage the engineers: they are your extended hands. In the turnkey model we take responsibility for the complete project —discovery, architecture, development, QA and deploy— with a locked scope and a fixed budget. You receive the finished product, you don't manage the team. If what you need is to scale your own team, the dedicated-team model suits you better.
Do you have a US legal entity and how do you bill?
Yes. iTech Dev Corp is incorporated in Texas, so we sign contracts under US law and bill in USD (or MXN if you prefer). The team works from Monterrey in the CST timezone, with 100% overlap with US Central and East, and bilingual English-Spanish communication.
What if I want to change the scope mid-project?
We handle it with a transparent change-control process. The fixed budget is anchored to a scope agreed in discovery; if a new feature or a shift in priorities comes up, we assess its impact in effort, time and cost, and you decide whether it goes into this scope, into a later phase, or is swapped for something in the backlog. Because we deliver every 2 weeks, adjustments are incorporated in an orderly way and without surprises, not at the end of the project.
