Odoo partner in Mexico: how to choose one
Odoo partner tiers do not measure technical quality: they measure licence volume sold. Here is what you should actually compare, the questions to ask before signing, and where we stand — we are Ready, the entry tier, and we explain exactly what that means.
What is an Odoo partner and what does each tier mean?
An Odoo partner is a company Odoo officially recognises to sell licences and implement the system.
- ReadyThe programme entry tier. That is where we are. It certifies the relationship with Odoo, not a sales volume.
- Silver / Gold / PlatinumTiers based on licence volume and active users. They measure commerce, not technical skill.
- PACThe authorised provider that stamps your CFDI. It is a separate piece from Odoo and must be chosen; without it you cannot invoice.
- OCAOdoo Community Association: free modules maintained by the community. Used well, they save custom development.
See in detail
The programme has four tiers —Ready, Silver, Gold and Platinum— and here is what almost nobody tells you: **the tier is earned through licence volume and active users, not implementation quality**. A Gold partner sold more licences than a Ready one; that is all the tier guarantees. It does not tell you who understands your operation, who has solved your tax problem before, or who will assign their good consultants rather than whoever is free. What is worth comparing is concrete: whether the team selling to you is the team you get, whether the code you receive is yours or locks you in, whether they truly solve Mexican localization or subcontract it, and what happens the day you want to switch providers. We are a Ready partner, the entry tier, based in Monterrey, Guadalajara and Laredo, TX.
Six operational reasons, zero adjectives
The code is yours from day one
Repos in your name, documented CI/CD and zero vendor lock-in. If you leave tomorrow, you take it all, running.
WhatsApp API with an official provider
We are a Meta Tech Provider: your WhatsApp Business API line with no middlemen, and chatbots wired to your ERP.
Sprint delivery you can click
A working demo every two weeks and measurable progress. No "it’s 80% done" without something you can click.
AI applied to your operation
LLM agents, RAG over your data and process automation — the same practice we use to run iTech itself.
Real nearshore: Texas + Monterrey
Legal entity in the U.S. (iTech Corp, Texas), contracts under U.S. law, same CST time zone and USMCA.
ERP with CFDI 4.0 invoicing
We implement Odoo with integrated SAT stamping (PAC), client portal and reconciliation — a full operation, not just software.
When you need a partner and when you do not
What a partner should deliver, whatever the tier
The team that sold to you
That whoever presents the proposal is who executes it. Ask in writing: this is where most people are disappointed.
Your code, yours
Custom modules delivered with repository and documentation. If the code is not yours, you cannot switch provider without rebuilding.
Localization solved
CFDI 4.0 stamped via an authorised PAC, Carta Porte complement, DIOT and trial balance. With l10n_mx and OCA modules, not patches.
Scope and price in writing
What is in, what is out, what is quoted separately. Our packages publish price: MXN $29,900, $89,000 and $139,000 + VAT by scope.
An exit plan
What happens if you leave: who holds access, where the database lives, how it exports. Asking beforehand beats finding out later.
Verifiable cases
Names, not adjectives. Ours: Soriana, Mohawk, CAINTRA, Certior and HUBBI.
The five questions that separate a partner from a salesperson
1Community or Enterprise, and why?
If the answer is always Enterprise, be wary. Some operations are fully covered by Community. We earn $0 on your licence, so the recommendation carries no bias.
2Who stamps, and with which PAC?
Electronic invoicing is a separate piece that must be chosen. If the provider does not raise it until signing, they will improvise it.
3Is the code mine?
Ask explicitly: are custom modules delivered with a repository? A verbal yes and a contract saying otherwise is the most common trap.
4What happens to my history?
Migrating all history sounds good and rarely earns its cost. A serious partner proposes the cut-off rather than selling you the full catalogue.
5Who supports me after go-live?
Implementation ends; operation does not. Define support, response times and who you call before you start.
The programme tiers, unvarnished
What each tier certifies and what it does not. Ours is marked.
| Ready | Silver | Gold | Platinum | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| How it is earned | Accreditation with Odoo | Licence volume | Higher volume | High sustained volume |
| Does it guarantee technical quality? | No | No | No | No |
| Can implement Community | Yes | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Can implement Enterprise | Yes | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Priority in the Odoo directory | Low | Medium | High | Highest |
| iTechDev tier | We are here | — | — | — |
The tier affects your visibility in the official Odoo directory, not what the partner can technically do. A Ready and a Gold implement exactly the same versions.
What we do NOT do, so you do not waste the call
- We do not resell licences with a margin on top: we earn $0 on your Odoo licence.
- We are not a PAC. Stamping is done by an authorised provider; we help you choose one, we do not replace it.
- We do not claim Gold or Platinum: we are Ready and we publish it that way.
- We do not take projects where the only criterion is the lowest price. We publish ours so the conversation starts elsewhere.

Questions about choosing an Odoo partner in Mexico

Contact us →Who implements Odoo in Mexico?
There are official partners in Mexico, plus independent consultants and firms implementing it outside the programme. The official Odoo directory lists partners by country and tier and is a good starting point — but remember it sorts by sales volume, not implementation quality. We operate from Monterrey, Guadalajara and Laredo, TX, serving manufacturing, retail, logistics and services in Mexico and the United States.
Is a Gold partner better than a Ready one?
They sold more licences. That is literally what the tier measures. They may also be better, or not: there is no relationship between tier and implementation quality. What is worth comparing is who will actually serve you, whether the code ends up in your name, how they solve the Mexican tax side, and what verifiable cases they have in your industry. We are Ready and we say so plainly, because the tier is not the argument; the work is.
SAP Business One or Odoo for a mid-sized company?
It depends where your complexity sits. Heavy manufacturing, multi-plant and demanding financial requirements usually fit SAP Business One better, and its Mexican ecosystem is more mature. If your complexity is in processes that change, e-commerce, or covering many areas without buying expensive modules, Odoo costs less and adapts faster. We implement both, so the comparison does not favour us in either direction — we settle it in the diagnostic with your operation in front of us.
How much does implementing Odoo in Mexico cost?
We publish price by scope: MXN $29,900, $89,000 and $139,000 + VAT. The difference is not the discount, it is what each includes — and the question that moves the number most is whether you need stamped electronic invoicing, because that pulls in full localization. The Odoo licence is paid separately, directly to Odoo, and we earn nothing from it.
Which PAC can I use to stamp from Odoo?
Several SAT-authorised PACs work with Odoo, some with a ready module and others via integration. The choice matters more than it seems: it changes cost per stamp, service availability and how fast they respond when something breaks at month-end. We run our own integration in production with factura.com, and we will tell you honestly when another one suits you better.
Can I migrate from CONTPAQi or Aspel?
Yes, and it is one of the cases we handle most. What genuinely migrates are catalogues —customers, vendors, products— and balances at the cut-off; full history is assessed separately because it almost always costs more than it contributes. The important part is the cut-off: setting the date you stop invoicing in one system and start in the other, without a single day unable to stamp.
